Where Do I Even Start?

Three simple steps to start making healthier changes without overwhelm.

1

Pick one room

Kitchen or bathroom is easiest. Don't try to change everything at once.

2

Choose 1-3 small swaps

Start with items you use daily. Small, manageable changes work better.

3

Use them for a week

Notice what actually works for you. This is about YOUR life, not perfection.

Progress over perfection.

You're allowed to go slow. You do not have to change everything overnight.

What's the deal with plastic, anyway?

Simple explanations without the overwhelm.

Secondhand first: low-waste and low-cost.

Before buying new items, consider thrift stores and secondhand shopping. You'll find quality, durable goods while supporting local businesses and saving money. Glass, cast iron, and vintage items are built to lastβ€”and they're usually cheaper used.

Great items to find secondhand:

βœ“ Glass Tupperware & food storage containers
βœ“ Cast iron cookware (lasts forever)
βœ“ Glass jars & vintage bottles
βœ“ Wooden items & kitchen tools
βœ“ Baskets & storage solutions
βœ“ Vintage kitchenware & gadgets

Where to look: Local thrift stores, estate sales, Facebook Marketplace, and community groups often have great finds. You'll save money and discover one-of-a-kind items.

Meet Ciera

Little Big Changes started after I became a mom and began paying closer attention to the products we use every day. I started learning more about plastics, fragrance, ingredients, and healthier alternatives in general… and honestly, it got overwhelming fast.

It felt like every video or article was telling me I needed to throw everything away and completely change my lifestyle overnight. But for most people, that just isn't realistic. I started making small changes where I could β€” switching a few products, thrifting glass containers, reading labels more, slowing down and learning as I went.

And I realized a lot of other people feel the exact same way: wanting to make healthier choices, but not knowing where to start. That's why I created Little Big Changes.

This space is about progress over perfection. Simple swaps. Realistic habits. Affordable changes. No shame, no fear tactics, and no pressure to be perfect.

Just small changes that can make a big difference over time.
